U.S. currency hasn't had any significant changes in design in a very long time and even though they've made some upgrades in recent years to prevent counterfeiting, the designs are still pretty plain and outdated compared to the rest of the world. After seeing some entries in redesign competitions online I decided to make my own. I tried to keep some aspects traditional but with a modern design.

The $5 bill: The theme is liberty and independence. On the front is Thomas Jefferson and the Jefferson Memorial. I feel that Jefferson kinda got shafted by being put on the nickel and $2 bill (2 things that no one really cares about... I mean he did WRITE the Declaration of Independence after all!) so I put him on the five. The back features the Statue of Liberty overlooking New York with an American flag and wording from the declaration.

Security features include a vertical holographic strip with microprinting, color-shifting ink and watermark. Each denomination features a different amount of raised marks to assist the vision-impaired with telling each one apart.
